WALK MS: Richmond VA with Follow Me Dog Training
I’m excited to announce that the WALK MS: Richmond VA event is back in person for 2022!!! If you are new to the Follow Me Dog Training LLC world, since 2012 we have had a team of human and dog walkers participate in this annual event to help drive groundbreaking research, provide life-changing programs and guarantee a supportive community for those who need it most. MS is an unpredictable disease that so many life with.So mark your calendars for:

We will be wearing bright orange Team shirts provided by Follow Me Dog Training LLC. Your dog is invited (well behaved, no leashes longer then 6 ft and ready for a walk)
IF you are not a Follow Me Dog Training Client and want to join our team…awesome, but your dog does need to be vetted by Renee, as you are representing a dog training company 
More details will be provided come the new year and we really start focusing on the event. Should you want to get a jump on the action though there are two things you can do right away.

2021 Holiday Photo Contest!
It’s time for the 2021 Holiday Photo Contest!
The winning picture will be chosen on 31 December 2021 (by end of day) according to the most “likes” or “loves” it receives on its individual picture in the Facebook Album: 2021 Holiday Photo ContestRULES
- You must enter 1 picture, per owner/family that is a current 2021 picture from any holiday.
- Email your picture to renee@followmedogtraining.com or send via private message to the Follow Me Dog Training LLC Facebook page (DO NOT post it yourself, sometimes people start to vote for those. Only the votes in the Holiday photo contest album count). Please be sure to include your Dog’s name and age.
- If you have a human in the photo, please add consent to post that human’s likeness on social media…this is mostly for any kids in the picture!
- Once I have posted your holiday photo into the 2021 holiday photo Facebook Album on the Follow Me Dog Training LLC page, it is up to you to make sure people see it and vote for it by liking or loving it.
- On 31 December, the photo with the most “Likes” or “loves” will receive a special prize from Follow Me Dog Training LLC.
- This contest is open to everyone, whether they have worked with Follow Me Dog Training LLC or not.
Anything goes…just be sure to email it to me and only vote for your picture in the actual holiday photo contest album.
If we get a bunch of under 6-month dogs that submit, we will have two categories.

Your Dog’s Nutritional Needs
The food we feed our dogs makes a huge impact on behavior, energy, and growth. There are a lot of dog foods to choose from. There are some great foods out there and to be honest, there are some I wouldn’t even donate to a shelter; they are so deficient in nutrition. Advertising and marketing will try to make you think that the foods that you see in the best commercials, with healthy running and playing dogs are the best for your dog, many times that is far from the truth. It seems like we are weekly hearing of a new food or treat company that has placed a recall on one of their products. I encourage you to research the food you are feeding your puppy, dog, and senior dog.
There are six building blocks of proper nutrition: protein, fat, carbs, minerals, vitamins, and water. As your dog grows it is also important to keep in mind that the foods that are rich in enzymes make the difference in good or bad food. All processed dog food that is cooked is deficient in certain vitamins, enzymes, and minerals and often doesn’t contain the right amount of nutrients for your dog. Read the Whole Article
Introducing Your Dog to the New Baby
So, you’re having a baby and you already have a dog.  Follow Me Dog Training LLC offers a class for the expecting family. So much will be changing in your world as you prepare for and 9 months later, bring a new baby into your home. These changes can cause stress on your dog and you may notice some behavioral changes. It is so much easier to be prepared!
What’s the best way to introduce the two so that there are as few problems as possible? There are multiple things you can do before you have your baby, and not wait until after you give birth, to help smooth the transition of bringing home a baby to your family dog? We can help you focus on what will help the most with you and your baby in this huge transition period and give you the BEST way to introduce your baby to your dog when you come home from the hospital.
